SHAKATABOOM KIDS

Welcome to Shakata Boom Kids!

There are many reasons for bringing Shakata Boom into your institution or youth group. It will help to elevate your pupils, giving them a competitive edge for their future careers, and allowing them to realize their full potential. We use a combination of play, character building, and creative thinking to engage and equip the students to become the leaders of tomorrow. At Shakata Boom, we believe that nobody was made purely for beauty, or without a purpose. It is Maximilian’s role to ignite the fire within them, and be a leading light, guiding them towards their life purpose.

THERE ARE SEVERAL THINGS THAT THEATRECISE ALLOWS THEM TO TAP INTO:

CONFIDENCE

Through role-play and experimenting with their voice and body, they will be allowed to put themselves forward, improve their public speaking skills and project themselves clearly, with kindness and assertiveness.

 EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Expressing themselves in front of each other, processing narratives and their meanings, as well as learning how to give and receive feedback, they will develop important emotional skills they can deploy throughout their lives. This will allow them to think before they speak, and also contemplate the repercussions an action may have on others.

CREATIVITY

They will flex their creative thinking muscle through improvisational work and making use of props. This will naturally improve their problem-solving skills, allowing them to become more flexible in their decision making.

DISCIPLINE

By committing themselves to a new, exciting activity that values their patience and time, they will be taught the discipline of managing their time and resources effectively, allowing them to strategically plan ahead for their future, becoming the masters of their own destiny.

FITNESS

Through learning new movement techniques, they will become more flexible and agile in their bodies, improving stamina and coordination, whilst also developing a powerful stance and a strong sense of control over their bodies.

ARTISTIC EXPRESSION

They will be allowed to explore and express their authentic selves in a safe, inclusive environment through developing characters and playing different roles. This outlet of expression will teach them to know themselves, and to love themselves, treating those around them kinder as a result.

TEAMWORK

Working as a team in different sized groups will allow them to gain a strong understanding of the role other people play in their lives. This will give them an appreciation of the importance of respecting others, as they will learn to treat others in a way they would like to be treated themselves.

GLOBAL OUTLOOK

By participating in a practice rooted in African theatrical arts, they will learn an appreciation for other cultures, and learn to see past each other's cultural differences, allowing them to come together as one tribe. This will give them the tools to be integrated into our increasingly multicultural society as positive well-rounded citizens.

They will learn resilience by handling feedback constructively and analysing it from different perspectives in a pragmatic manner. Through this, they will further understand the importance of listening to others, and reflecting on what they have to say, allowing them to come to their own conclusions, and thus creating the best outcomes for themselves and society.
